Firefighter and Family Open a Huge, Life-Changing Gift
Ellen recently surprised firefighter Jerwayne Terry, his wife Shawanda and their seven kids at their home in Alabama, telling them to pack their bags and head to Los Angeles to open a huge present! Today they were in the studio, and Ellen talked with the kids about their first airplane ride, and how selfless Shawanda and Jerwayne are in adopting five of their children and becoming foster parents in their community. Usher on His Foundation's Impact on Georgia Voters
Usher talked with Ellen about his Usher's New Look foundation, an organization which offers U.S. youth access to personal development and leadership training. He also discussed his pride in the young people involved in their Atlanta program. They helped register potential voters for this year's presidential election, and the impact was seen across the state – Georgia had a record voter turnout this year, particularly among young voters.
